MIDACO is a highly efficient optimization software that’s being used at a number of high profile academic institutions. Today I’m excited to announce that Typhoon Computing has entered into a collaboration effort with the team behind MIDACO to create a parallel Fortran version of their solver that’s going to be compatible with multicore CPU as well as NVIDIA GPU. The solution is going to be based on the Open Source framework Hybrid Fortran – great news for MIDACO users on Fortran, since no additional licensing cost will arise from using this upcoming parallel version.
